About The Doctor
Dr. Acloque was born to Haitian immigrants in Newark, NJ and raised in the South Florida area during the late 80’s. From an early age, he could be heard proclaiming he would one day be a doctor after falling in love with the tv show “Doogie Howser, MD.” Armed with a strong sense of family he was taught the value of hard work and perseverance. These qualities he sorely needed to make his way through many years of school and the winding road to medicine. This included Medical School in Guadalajara, Mexico and Internal Medicine Residency in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
After completing his training and recognizing a need for role models in healthcare in his hometown, he returned to South Florida to begin his career as a practicing Hospitalist at a local teaching hospital. During his time working in the hospital, he saw an even greater need; helping to effect a change in the way primary healthcare is delivered. He quickly realized that insurance companies seemed to be getting in the way of the doctor-patient relationship. This resulted in long waits, short visits and poor overall care. He looked toward building a practice centered on the patient and obsessed with perfecting the relationship to the point where speaking to a doctor is like speaking to a “wise” family member who gives great advice but also has the time to truly LISTEN. Florida Concierge Medicine & Wellness was born.
Dr. Acloque is fluent in English, Spanish & Kreyól.
The secret to caring for the patient is caring about the patient.
