Gerard Acloque Jr., MD, is a skilled physician at Florida Concierge Medicine & Wellness in Hollywood, Florida.
Dr. Acloque was born to Haitian immigrants in Newark, New Jersey, then raised in the South Florida area during the late ’80s. From an early age, Dr. Acloque recalls being drawn toward medicine. Raised with a traditional Caribbean-style upbringing based on a strong sense of family, he learned the value of hard work, tenacity, and perseverance to achieve whatever one wants out of life. These qualities served him well as he made his way through many years of school and the winding road to becoming a physician.
After graduating from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, he attended medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico, and finally completed his internal medicine residency in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in 2016. Upon completing his training, he decided to bring his family back to South Florida and took a position as a hospitalist at Kendall Regional Medical Center (KRMC) in Tamiami for five years. There he gained extensive experience treating a broad range of issues in acutely ill patients.
He left KRMC to found Florida Concierge Medicine & Wellness, a full-service primary care center in Hollywood, Florida, where he continues the tradition of service by bridging the chasm between health care access and the community who so badly needs it regardless of their insurance status.
Dr. Acloque’s interests include medical aesthetics, clinical research, mentoring prospective minority doctors, and philanthropy. In his downtime, he can be found around South Florida, enjoying the outdoors, attending sporting events, or traveling the world with his wife LaKeysha, young son Caleb, and their dog Max.
